OnSpecial is a community guide to what's on in the cities it covers, starting with Regina, Saskatchewan. These terms are an agreement between you and the people who run OnSpecial ("we", "us"). By using OnSpecial you agree to them and to the community rules. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

Your account

You must be of legal drinking age where you live (19 in Saskatchewan) to make an account.
One account per person. Give accurate information and keep your password to yourself.
You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at info@onspecial.ca if you think someone else is using it.

A community guide, not a guarantee

Listings come from the venues' own websites, from the venues themselves and from the community, who post and confirm them. They can be wrong or out of date. Freshness labels and confirm counts show how recently people checked, not a promise that a deal is still on. Check with the venue before you go. We're not responsible for venues' prices, offers, service or events. The disclaimer says more.

What you post

You own your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show, format and share it in OnSpecial and when promoting the service, for example in share cards. For content that stays up after you delete your account, such as listings and prices others rely on, the licence continues without your name attached.
You're responsible for it. Post only what's accurate as far as you know, what you have the right to share, and what follows the community rules.
We may moderate it. We can edit formatting, hide or remove content, and reverse points that break these terms or the community rules.

Venues and businesses

Only claim a venue you're authorised to act for. We may ask for proof and may remove a claim.
A claimed venue's own posts say "Updated by the venue". They still age like everyone else's, only more slowly.
Paid or promoted placement is always labeled Featured. Paid features, if we offer them, come with their own terms, shown before you pay.

Not allowed

On top of the community rules, don't:

scrape, crawl or copy the service in bulk, or access it by automated means other than normal search-engine crawling;
get around rate limits or security, or probe for weaknesses;
use multiple accounts, bots or coordinated activity to inflate confirms, votes, points or rankings;
impersonate anyone, including a venue;
post anything illegal or that infringes someone else's rights.

Points, milestones and rankings

Points, milestones, roles and tiers have no cash value and can't be sold or transferred. We may adjust them if they were earned by breaking the rules or by a mistake.

Suspension and ending

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the community rules, and we'll try to tell you why. To appeal a decision or ask about your account, email info@onspecial.ca.

Google Maps place suggestions

Optional venue name and address suggestions use Google Maps. Using those suggestions is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google's privacy policy. Confirm that the selected place is the venue you mean before adding it.

Changes to the service

OnSpecial is free to use, and we may add, change or remove features. We'll post changes to these terms here and update the date above, and tell account holders about significant ones in the app.

Liability

OnSpecial is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage from using or relying on OnSpecial, including indirect or consequential loss, or for anything a venue does or doesn't offer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts in Regina.
