Taco Tuesday

Taco Tuesday is the biggest taco night in Regina: more venues run a taco deal than on any other day, and most of those tacos work out to about $4 each. Brisket, shrimp or fish tacos cost more, closer to $7.

How to choose

• Read the conditions. Some deals need a drink, some are dine-in only, and some cap how many you can order. Blanco Cantina's Taco Tuesdaze takes classic tacos to half price when you buy a drink, dine-in only. Leopold's Tavern (Albert) allows up to four per person per order.
• Work out the price per taco. A plate of three for $12 is $4 a taco. The taco Price check does the maths for every deal that says how many you get.
• Pick your time. Several run all day. Others follow a bar's happy hour, from 2 pm to 5 or 6 pm, or start at 9 pm, and a couple of bars bring the same taco price back for their late-night happy hour.
• All you can eat. Tommy's Speakeatery in Lakeview runs all-you-can-eat tacos all day on Tuesdays. Its card lists no price, so ask before you order.
